Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 2, 2025

ConfigHub, Inc. (“ ConfigHub,” “ we,” or “ us”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

It applies to visitors and users (“ you”) of our websites, services, and preview program (together, the “ Service”).

1. Who We Are

ConfigHub, Inc. is a Delaware corporation providing a configuration management and infrastructure coordination platform.

We act as:

  • a Data Controller for information we collect directly about you (account data, usage analytics, support), and
  • a Data Processor for configuration data that you or your organization upload (“Customer Data”).

2. Information We Collect

a. Account and Usage Information

We collect the following when you sign up or use the Service:

  • Name, email, and authentication details
  • Discord username (if you choose to join our community server), which we associate with your ConfigHub account
  • Basic usage logs (feature interactions, request timing, environment metadata)
  • Communication history if you contact us

b. Customer Data

Customer Data includes configuration files, metadata, and other data you store in ConfigHub.

You or your organization own all Customer Data.

ConfigHub only processes Customer Data to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Service,
  • troubleshoot and support your use, and
  • comply with legal obligations if required.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and improve the Service
  • Authenticate users and maintain security
  • Link your Discord identity to your ConfigHub account (if you join our community server) for support and community access
  • Provide support and respond to feedback
  • Communicate updates about the preview
  • Analyze aggregated usage to improve performance

We do not sell or rent your data.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information only with:

a. Service Providers

Hosting, authentication, logging, analytics, or other necessary vendors assisting us in operating the Service.

These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

b. Legal and Security

We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect our rights, safety, and users.

We never share Customer Data with third parties except as directed by the customer or required by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Account and operational data are retained as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
  • Customer Data may be deleted at any time upon request or automatically when preview accounts are closed or reset.
  • Log data may be retained longer for security.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures—encryption, access controls, network isolation—to protect your data.

However, because the Service is in preview, it may not meet full production-grade standards.

Do not upload production or confidential data.

7. International Data Transfers

ConfigHub is based in the United States. Your information may be transferred to or processed in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate.

For EU/UK users, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards when required.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request portability of your personal data

To exercise these rights, email hello@confighub.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The latest version is posted at confighub.com/privacy.

If changes are material, we will notify registered users.
